Total time: 26 min • Prep: 8 min • Cook: 18 min • Serves: 4 • Difficulty: Easy

This caramel-nut sauce is not only divine over sautéed bananas, but it's also delicious drizzled over frozen yogurt and angel food cake. Make sure to slice

Ingredients

Maple syrup

5½ tbsp(s)

Fat-free skim milk

3 tbsp(s)

Chopped pecans (unsalted, raw or dry roasted, no sugar added)

3 tbsp(s)

Banana

4 large, peeled, halved lengthwise and then crosswise

Instructions

1

Combine maple syrup, milk and pecans in a small saucepan; set pan over medium-high heat. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until the mixture thickens and reduces to about 1/3 cup, about 15 minutes.

2

Meanwhile, coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray and set pan over medium-high heat. Add bananas and sauté until golden brown, about 1 minute per side.

3

Transfer bananas to dessert plates and spoon praline sauce over top. Yields 1 banana and about 1 1/2 tablespoons of sauce per serving.
