Plum dessert parfaits with yogurt and almonds

Fresh sautéed plums make a wonderful sauce. We layered ours with vanilla yogourt and crunchy toasted almonds – enjoy for breakfast, a snack or dessert.

- In a medium nonstick skillet, over medium heat, toss plums with honey and cinnamon; cook, stirring frequently, until plums soften, cook down and mixture becomes saucy, about 3 minutes. Spoon into a small bowl and stir in lemon zest and salt; chill until cool, about 30 minutes.
- To assemble, spoon 22 ml (1 ½ Tbsp) plum mixture into a small (180 ml [6 fl oz]) dish or glass; top with 15 ml (1 Tbsp). Repeat to make 1 more layer and then sprinkle almonds over top. Repeat with remaining ingredients to make 4 parfaits; serve.
