New Brunswick Acadian Stew
1 large, chopped
uncooked new potato(es)
¾ pound(s), quartered
uncooked baby carrots
uncooked skinless cornish game hen
2 whole, cut in half, and frozen (omit wing)
fat-free reduced sodium chicken broth
4 clove(s), medium, minced
- Put onions, garlic, potatoes, and carrots into a 4-to-6 quart crock-pot. Sprinkle tapioca over vegetables. Place frozen chicken pieces on top of vegetables.
- Pour broth over chicken; add parsley, rosemary, and thyme. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 hours or high-heat setting for 4 hours.
