What happens when the flavours from the Middle East collide with the fan-favourites from the West? These pub-worthy hot dogs that combine creamy tahini, Greek yogurt, cabbage, and pork/beef hot dogs! To add some more oomph and to further tingle the taste buds, feel free to add pickled turnips, pickles, olives, onions, and parsley.

Ingredients

Light beef or pork hot dog

4 item(s)

Plain fat free Greek yogurt

1 cup(s)

Tahini

4 tsp(s)

Uncooked cabbage (all varieties)

1 cup(s), chopped

Hot dog bun

4 item(s), split in half

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Place the sausages on a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes, until they are cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the yogurt and tahini with the shredded cabbage.
  4. Split the rolls in half and fill with the shredded cabbage mixture. Top with the sausages and serve immediately.
  5. Serving size: 1 hotdog

Notes

Instead of oven-baking the sausages, heat an outdoor grill and barbecue the sausages for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
