One of the great things about making your own homemade fries is that you can make them as you'd like...thick, thin, wedged, or crinkled! The next best thing...the seasonings!! Get creative and top your fries with any herbs and spices you'd like. The combinations are endless. Here, we toss the potato wedges in egg whites before baking to give them a delicious crunch. Served with fresh flavours of cilantro, lime juice, tomatoes, and guacamole, this recipe is a spin on typical chips with dip. Here, we swap out tortilla chips for French fries. This is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next dinner party, backyard BBQ, and so much more.


Ingredients
Uncooked potato
1⅝ pound(s), (about 760 grams) cut into wedges
Egg whites
1 serving(s), medium
Tomato
4 medium, finely chopped
Red bell pepper
1 medium, finely chopped
Cilantro
¼ cup(s), finely chopped
Red onion
¼ medium, finely chopped
Avocado
1 medium, mashed
Fresh lime juice
2 tsp(s)
Light sour cream
⅓ cup(s)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Line 2 large baking trays with parchment paper. Place potatoes and egg white in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.

Spread potato wedges in a single layer on prepared trays. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until light golden.

To create the salsa, place two-thirds of the tomatoes in a medium bowl. Add red pepper, cilantro, and half the onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.

To create the guacamole, place avocado, lime juice, remaining tomatoes and onion in a separate bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss to combine.

Serve fries with salsa, guacamole and sour cream.
