Italian Sausage with Broccoli and White Beans

Extra virgin olive oil

Broccoli
2 cup(s), florets, small
Cooked chicken sausage
3 oz, Italian variety, or turkey sausage, thickly sliced
Onion
½ cup(s), chopped
Garlic clove
1 clove(s), medium, minced
Canned cannellini beans
½ cup(s), rinsed, drained
Water
¼ cup(s)
Grated Parmesan cheese
1½ tbsp(s)
Crushed red pepper flakes
1 pinch(es)
Instructions

Heat oil in small nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add broccoli, sausage and onion; cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is almost tender, about 7 minutes.

Add garlic; toss. Add beans, water and pinch salt (optional); cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is tender and beans are hot, about 1 minute. Sprinkle with Parmesan and pepper flakes.
