1 piece(s), 1-inch, peeled and sliced into thin disks
1 tbsp(s), removed in strips with a vegetable peeler
Unpacked light brown sugar
- Put all ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cover and reduce heat to low; simmer very slowly for 1 hour. Yields about 1 cup per serving.
You can double or triple this recipe and have it warmed all evening for your next party: Just add everything to a slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 4 to 8 hours.
