Grilled Scallions with Soy and Sesame

Vegetable side dishes don't come easier than this. This delicious vegetable dish has only three ingredients and comes together in less thank 10 minutes. If the onions don't seem to be cooking quickly enough, try cooking them with the grill lid closed. You can also thread them onto skewers if it is easier for you to cook that way. Pick up the scallions with your fingers and pop them in your mouth.
Low sodium soy sauce
Dark sesame oil
32 medium, trimmed
- Off heat, coat grill rack or grill pan with nonstick spray. Preheat gas grill or grill pan to medium, or prepare medium fire in charcoal grill.
- In small bowl, whisk soy sauce and oil for dressing. Grill scallions, turning once, until slightly softened and marked from grill, 2 to 2 1⁄2 minutes. Transfer to platter. Drizzle with dressing.
- Serving size: 4 scallions
