Nothing spells summer like fresh cherries. Here, they’re layered into parfaits for a lovely end to almost any meal off the grill.

Ingredients

Cherries

1 pound(s), sweet, like Rainier or Bing, pitted and halved

Sugar

1 tbsp(s)

Almond extract

¼ tsp(s)

Table salt

tsp(s)

Plain fat free Greek yogurt

½ cup(s)

Honey

1 tbsp(s)

Instructions

  1. Combine cherries, sugar, almond extract and salt in a bowl; set aside at room temperature so cherries release some of their juice, about 15 minutes.
  2. Mix yogurt and honey in a second bowl. Layer yogurt mixture and cherries in parfait glasses or white-wine glasses.
