This recipe makes enough for a 3-pound brisket, or similar cut of meat. Make a double or triple batch, and store the rest in an air-tight container and you'll be ready to barbecue or slow cook any time the mood strikes. These flavours all go together beautifully, but you could easily swap out any one that you might not like for another spice that you prefer.
