Enjoy the savoury flavour of a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich minus the bread. It's delicious with veggies or spread onto whole-grain crackers.

Ingredients

Fat free mayonnaise

1 cup(s)

Fat-free cream cheese

16 cup(s), softened

Black pepper

1½ pinch

Lettuce

1 cup(s), chopped, shredded

Cooked turkey bacon

3 slice(s), crumbled

Fresh tomato(es)

1 large, chopped

Uncooked scallion(s)

¼ cup(s), chopped

Low-fat shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine mayonnaise, cream cheese and pepper in a small mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping the bowl often, until smooth, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Spread cream cheese mixture onto the bottom of a 9-inch round serving dish; top with lettuce, bacon, tomato, scallions and cheese. Yields about 1/4 cup per serving.
