Berries with Creamy Lemon Sauce

Add tangy, sweet flavour to your berries with this delicious, low-calorie dessert sauce. Or try it drizzled over warmed angel food cake.

Fat-free skim milk
1½ cup(s)
Sugar
¼ cup(s)
All-purpose flour
1 tbsp(s)
Lemon extract
¾ tsp(s)
Strawberries
2 cup(s), hulled and halved
Blueberries

Instructions

Combine milk, sugar and flour in the top of a double boiler. Cook over simmering water, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lemon extract. Place plastic wrap on surface of mixture; refrigerate until cool.

Place about 1/2 cup of strawberries and 1/4 cup of blueberries into each of 4 stemmed glasses. Spoon about 1/3 cup of lemon sauce into each cup.
