Ingredients

Granny Smith apple

1½ cup(s), (375 ml) peeled and finely chopped

Fresh lemon juice

1 tsp(s), (5 ml)

Ground cinnamon

½ tsp(s), (2 ml)

Table salt

¼ tsp(s), (1 ml)

Canola oil

2 tbsp(s), (30 ml)

Honey

1 tbsp(s), (15 ml)

Reduced-fat cheddar cheese

50 gm, finely chopped

Mini phyllo shell(s)

12 item(s), (such as Athens®)

Instructions

  1. Combine apple, juice, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl; toss to coat. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add oil; swirl to coat.
  2. Add apple mixture; cover and cook 5 minutes or until apple is tender, stirring occasionally. Add honey; cook, uncovered, 1 minute. Divide cheese evenly among phyllo cups; top evenly with apple mixture. Serve warm.
