Cooked in the air fryer, the fries get crispy on the edges and retain that classic crisp juiciness jicama is known for on the inside. The slight sweetness of the root vegetable pairs beautifully with the robust, savory spices.

Ingredients
Uncooked jicama
1½ pound(s)
Cooking spray
4 spray(s)
Kosher salt
¾ tsp(s)
Garlic powder
¾ tsp(s)
Smoked paprika
¾ tsp(s)
Cayenne pepper
¼ tsp(s)
Instructions
1
Cut jicama into ½-inch-thick slices. Cut slices into thin strips, ⅓- to ½-inch thick. In a large bowl, coat jicama with nonstick spray. Sprinkle jicama with salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper; toss well to coat.
2
Preheat an air fryer, if necessary, to 375°F. Lightly coat air fryer basket with nonstick spray. Arrange jicama in basket. Air-fry at 375°F until browned and crisp on the edges, 22 to 25 minutes, pausing to shake basket every 7 or 8 minutes.
