Air-Fried Parmesan Artichoke Hearts

Turn canned artichoke hearts into an irresistible snack or side! The artichokes are tossed with finely grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes—the latter of which add an alluring bit of heat. The dry heat of the air fryer gets the artichokes wonderfully crisp around their edges. If you’d like to double the recipe to serve four people, we recommend cooking in batches so the artichokes stay in a single layer in the air fryer.
Canned artichoke hearts without oil
2 cup(s), (1 [14-oz] can), halved
Grated Parmesan cheese
Crushed red pepper flakes
- Drain the artichokes on a double layer of paper towels (or a clean kitchen towel); gently pat dry. Place the artichokes in a medium bowl and coat with cooking spray. Sprinkle the artichokes with the Parmesan, salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes; toss very gently to coat.
- Preheat an air fryer, if necessary, to 400°F. Coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Add the artichokes to the basket in a single layer; coat the artichokes with cooking spray. Air-fry at 400°F until lightly browned, about 10 minutes, pausing to shake the basket after 5 minutes.
