WW and your HSA-CRM
Your Benefits Could Cover Your WW Membership!
You may be eligible to use your HSA dollars for WW membership.
FAQs
How could my WW membership be covered by my benefits?
Some employee benefits include a health spending account (HSA) that allows you to spend a certain dollar amount on some out-of-pocket health care costs, like your WW membership. Check with your employer and/or your benefits provider to see if your WW membership is eligible.
If eligible, you may use HSA dollars for any WW membership—Core or Premium. By taking advantage of this benefit, you’ll use pre-tax dollars that have been set away in your HSA account to pay for your WW membership.
Please note, you can not include the cost of diet food or beverages in medical expenses. Diet food and beverages substitute for what is normally consumed to satisfy nutritional needs.
How do I use my HSA to pay for WW?
- Speak to your employer and/or benefits provider to see if a WW membership is eligible under your specific coverage plan and if so, what if any medical documentation is required.
- Purchase any WW membership
- Print your membership purchase receipt, which is sent via email when you join and and any additional documentation as required by your benefits provider to be reimbursed. Please note, claim processes vary by plan so please check with your provider or HR representative.
When is the cut-off for purchasing a membership with HSA dollars?
If your benefits expire at the end of the year, you have until December 31 at 11:59 p.m. ET to purchase a membership with your HSA dollars for the current calendar year. Double-check with your carrier for details on your plan.
