Form—and strengthen—the pathways in your brain to get closer to your long-term goals

Let’s dive a little deeper…

No matter how old you are, you can change your brain. We also have the capacity to choose which habits we want to develop, and we can create new pathways in our brains to make it easier to do those habits.

Let’s say you tend to rely on premade meals when you’re short on time, but you have big dreams of upping your cooking skills. Grabbing those premade meals is a path that might not be working for you. A new path you could build: coming up with a handful of quick meals you can whip up at home.

The more you practice your new pathway (here, it’s making a simple meal at home), the more it’ll become second nature. That’s because both mental and physical strength are built through repetition. Our brains change to make it easier for us to repeat our new paths moving forward.
