These hugs and kisses Valentine's Day-inspired cupcakes are an adorable way to celebrate the holiday. Though we decorated ours with Xs and Os, you can get creative with the toppings and designs. Swap in chocolate hearts, candy hearts, coloured sprinkles, chocolate whipped topping, or artfully-placed fresh berries.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

Dry mix chocolate cake

45 gm, (1/3 cup)

Raw egg

1 large

Water

1 tbsp(s)

Vegetable oil

1 tsp(s)

Lite whipped topping

3 tbsp(s)

McCormicks Cinnamon hearts

25 piece(s), or similar product, can use alternative candy or chocolate

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly coat 2 holes of a nonstick standard muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray (or use cupcake liners).

In a small bowl, whisk together cake mix, egg, water, and oil into a smooth batter. Evenly divide batter among prepared muffin holes. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean, 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool.

Decorate cooled cupcakes with whipped topping and cinnamon hearts.
