Q. If I register for WW, will my membership and weight information be kept confidential?

A: Yes, they will. Although your employer will receive information about the total membership’s weight loss, it will not receive any individual or personally identifiable information.

Q. Why is my employer partnering with WW?

A: Your employer values your health and wellness and has teamed up with WW to bring you a program that gives you real-life solutions to achieve your goals. 

Q: Who can take advantage of the WW offerings?

A:  For details on who in your organization is eligible for the offering, visit the website listed at the bottom of this document. Additionally, to find out if the county you reside in is a non-participating area, please visit: http://wwfranchisecountylist.com.

To become a WW member, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Not be pregnant.
  • Not have an active medical diagnosis of bulimia nervosa or anorexia nervosa.

 Q: If I’m a current WW member am I eligible for WW’s program through my employer?

A: Of course! As long as you meet the eligibility requirements for your employer’s offering, you can link your current account as part of the registration process. If you have any issues, call 1-866-204-2885 for assistance with linking your accounts.

Q. How will my SmartPoints® Budget be adjusted if I’m breastfeeding?

A. Here's what you need to know. The program is eligible to nursing moms when they feel ready. A healthy rate of weight loss during nursing is an average of no more than 4.5 lb/2 kg per month. Losing more than this could affect milk quality or quantity. The Daily SmartPoints Budget depends on your plan and your Breastfeeding status and will be adapted automatically in your app once you have adjusting your settings.

For breastfeeding mothers there are different minimums for the daily SmartPoints Budget (DSPB)

Green - the minimum is 52 DSPB

Blue - the minimum is 41 DSPB

Purple - the minimum is 29 DSPB

If breast milk is the sole source of nutrition for the baby, the app with automatically calculate an additional allowance (of + 16 / 12 / 9) depending on your plan (Green / Blue / Purple respectively).

If breast milk is only partially the source of nutrition for the baby, the app will automatically calculate an additional allowance (of +6 / 5 / 3) depending on your plan (Green / Blue / Purple respectively).

If breastfeeding multiple babies the additional allowance should be multiplied per baby. 

For example if you are on Green and are breastfeeding two babies as their sole source of nutrition you should add 16 + 16 to your daily SmartPoints Budget. If your usual daily SmartPoints Budget not breastfeeding is 23, your Breastfeeding daily Budget would be 55, and your weeklies are not affected.
For a breastfeeding mother on Green, the daily SmartPoints Budget is always a minimum of 52.

Your app will not make this adjustment automatically. Follow the steps below to update your app:

Go to your Account settings, then select:

Food setting > Select Healthy habits (this allows for adjustment in both daily and weeklies)

Adjust your dailies to the appropriate DSPB above.


If you'd like to add that you are breastfeeding to your Settings, follow the directions below:

iPhone - iPad: From the My Day screen > Profile icon (top right) > Gear icon (top right) > Food Settings > Are you nursing?

Android: From the My Day screen > Click on Profile > Resources > Settings > Food Settings > Adjust Nursing setting.

Desktop Computer: Profile (initials at top right) > Settings > Breastfeeding

Q.  Can WW help me with my type 2 diabetes?

Q. What payment options are there?

A. At this time we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal as forms of payment for membership. We are unable to process any other forms of payment. When you sign up, we will automatically deduct payments at the end of each term until you cancel. If you are concerned about security, be aware that our website uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, the industry top standard encryption protocol to keep your credit card information secure. SSL sends your credit card information to our computer in an encrypted code, which only we can read.

Keep in mind, Flexible Spending Account Debit Cards will not be processed through WW. However, you may request a receipt for your weekly fees and submit the receipt to your insurance company.

Q. How do I cancel my WW membership?

A. Our cancellation process is hassle-free. You can easily cancel your membership on our website. Simply log in to your account, go to “Settings” > “Account” to view your cancellation options. If you would like assistance with canceling your account, you can call 1-866-204-2885 or visit WW.com/us/cancellation.

Q.  If I’m already a WW Lifetime member, should subscribe for this program through my employer?

A. No.

Q. If I have an existing eTools membership or Monthly Pass, how do I transition to this new membership?

A. To take advantage of the new partnership between WW and your company, please follow these steps to ensure a smooth transition of your current membership plan.  It is best you have access to a computer while following these steps.

To begin, you will need your Access ID.

Then:

  • Call WW Customer Service at 866-204-2885 and request support cancelling your current membership plan and enrolling in your company’s new Workshops + Digital membership plan.
  • Visit wellness.weightwatchers.com and enter your Access ID and Unique ID.
