MICHAEL LYSAGHT NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF DIGITAL PRODUCT ENGINEERING FOR WEIGHT WATCHERS
NEW YORK, NY (September 16, 2014) – Weight Watchers International, Inc. (NYSE:WTW) today announced that Michael Lysaght has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Digital Product Engineering. Reporting directly to Chief Technology Officer Dan Crowe, Lysaght’s newly created role will work closely with the Weight Watchers Product team to build new, innovative digital products as well as improve the global web, mobile and social experiences for members. He will also be instrumental in the advancement of the Weight Watchers API capabilities, such as connected device integration.

Lysaght joins Weight Watchers from SecondMarket, a technology company whose sophisticated online platform enables private companies, investment funds and other issuers to efficiently conduct complex private equity transactions. Since 2009, he served as the Vice President of Engineering where he led the design, development, delivery and quality of the company’s software products. Prior to SecondMarket, Lysaght spent 12 years working as an independent consultant at various institutions around the world, building web platforms for startups, banks and telecom companies.
