Introducing the new Weight Watchers

Published December 12, 2025

For more than 60 years, people around the world have turned to Weight Watchers looking for change — not just on the scale, but in how they feel, live, and show up in their everyday lives. What’s brought them here has always been deeply personal. And our role has been consistent: to support people with comprehensive solutions that are studied, tested, and proven to work in real life.

Weight health is changing quickly. New medications like GLP-1s are reshaping how many people approach weight loss and we are embracing this next chapter of innovation. Advances in technology are also giving us clearer ways to understand progress beyond a single number. But one thing hasn’t changed: Lasting results will always require structure, guidance, and human connection.

Across Weight Watchers, our teams have been building a new, redesigned member experience — one that combines access to board-certified physicians who prescribe GLP-1s to eligible members, six decades of evidence-based behavior change, and a community providing human connection and support for success.

We’re launching new tools that are easy to use, easy to follow, and tailored to each member’s unique needs to help them reach their goals and achieve results that last — whether they are using medication or not.

Today, I’m excited to share what’s coming in the weeks ahead.

GLP-1 Success: Support that goes beyond the prescription

For members exploring GLP-1 medications for weight loss — or already using them — support matters just as much as access.

In the United States, our Weight Watchers Med+ Program provides eligible members entry to board-certified physicians who prescribe GLP-1s and guide them through treatment. But the prescription is only the beginning.

Every Med+ member also has access to our new GLP-1 Success Program, which pairs medication with all aspects of our behavioral support to drive more effective results than medication alone. Members can think of this as their one-stop shop for GLP-1 medications and support.

We know from leading scientific bodies, including the World Health Organization, that GLP-1 medications are powerful tools, but not standalone solutions. Even with these medications, people still need to eat nutritious foods. They still need to move their bodies. They still need community, accountability, and education to sustain progress and results.

Real life supports those findings: Members who use GLP-1s while engaging with the Weight Watchers program lose more weight and report higher satisfaction and quality of life, which is why 90% of surveyed GLP-1 users expressed interest in joining community-based support programs like ours.*

This is where GLP-1 Success comes in, supporting the real, day-to-day experience of being on these medications. It includes tools to track doses and refills, guidance for managing side effects, personalized nutrition support to help members meet protein and other key goals, and strength-focused movement to help preserve muscle mass.

Members also gain access to Coaches trained specifically in GLP-1 support and virtual groups with others on a similar journey. More than 70% of Weight Watchers Med+ members on the GLP-1 Success Program say that it helps them minimize weight loss medication side effects.**

For members who receive their GLP-1 prescription from another provider, GLP-1 Success is also available as a standalone program — offering the same programming, support, coaching, and community to help them use these medications safely and most effectively.

Tracking progress beyond the scale

Weight health is about more than pounds lost. To help members see progress, we’re introducing a reimagined digital experience that combines decades of behavior-change expertise with new technology to give members a clearer, more personalized view of their weight health and help them be more successful in reaching and sustaining their goals. These tools include:

Weight Health Score: a science-based way to measure real progress

At the center of the new experience is the new Weight Health Score, an evidence-based metric that turns daily habits into an easy-to-understand scoring system. It connects with more than 60 devices and apps, making it easier to track activity, sleep, body composition, and recovery automatically — or manually, if that’s your preference.

AI Body Scanner: visualizing fat loss and muscle preservation

Our new AI-powered body scanner tracks changes in fat and muscle mass over time, providing valuable insights a scale can’t provide. This is especially helpful for members using GLP-1 medications, who may see substantial changes in body weight, and benefit from a clearer picture that supports fat loss while preserving muscle mass and strength, so members can visually compare progress over time and better understand what’s happening in their bodies.

Modes: a cutting-edge program that adapts with real life

No one’s weight loss journey looks the same from week to week. Members need solutions that adapt to their lives — not the other way around.

That’s why we’re introducing new Modes in the Weight Watchers app. Modes help members adjust the level of structure and support they receive based on what’s happening in their lives:

All-In Mode for members who want a more focused, accelerated approach.

Lose Mode for steady, sustainable progress using the trusted Points® Program.

Maintain Mode for protecting results or creating breathing room during busy seasons.

More Modes, including Vacation Mode, are coming — because at Weight Watchers we know that real life sometimes also means we need a break, especially if we want sustained, long-term success.

Community: where support becomes strength

What sets Weight Watchers apart is the power of real human connection and its ability to directly impact a member’s success.

Building on a 62-year legacy of community support, Weight Watchers’ deeply experienced Coaches — along with a growing group of physicians who will also lead select groups — help members navigate the real-life challenges of sustainable weight management. This offering is being expanded with a richer virtual experience and growing lineup of curated programming to bring this support to more people, wherever they are.

Members can join small, Coach-led groups — including those focused on GLP-1 use, menopause, nutrition, or movement — to learn from others on a similar path and feel truly supported. Whether managing GLP-1 side effects, staying consistent during busy seasons or holidays, rebuilding routines after a setback, or celebrating progress in all its forms, these communities provide support from others who have shared experience and learnings. In fact, Weight Watchers members who actively engage in the community have 2x the weight loss results of those going it alone.^

That’s why Weight Watchers has endured when so many others have faded. It’s not just because of calories or carbs or Points — it’s because of people. It’s because of the laughter and tears that fill our meetings, the kindness in a Coach’s voice, and the victories shared along with honest conversations.

New, premium fitness content

Members will also find new, premium fitness content directly in the app, including progressive strength and functional movement programming from The LIFTED Method by Holly Ringer, with more to come. This program supports members at every stage of their journey — whether they’re navigating menopause, using GLP-1 weight-loss medications, or simply looking to build sustainable movement into a healthier lifestyle.

A look that reflects who we are today

You’ll also notice a refreshed look and feel across Weight Watchers. Inspired by member feedback, our updated brand identity reflects who we are today — grounded in science, built around real life, and centered on human care.

Our new logo wordmark reinforces stability and trust, while the progress bar redefines how we understand weight-health journeys — recognizing that ups and downs are a natural part of the process. It’s a visual evolution that honors our roots while looking forward to what’s next.

Everything we’re launching is rooted in a clear goal: helping our members be more successful, not just for a moment, but for the long term. I’m incredibly proud of the teams who made this possible, appreciative of our Coaches and Guides who provide partnership and support to millions around the world, and deeply grateful to our members, who inspire us every day.

Thank you for being part of this exciting next chapter.
