Stir-fries are a clever way to get a quick meal on the table, and a carbon-steel wok is the ideal kitchen implement to get it done. With its sloping high sides, this deep pan has the room and the heating capacity for preparing fast all-in-one meals like Sicilian-style cauliflower and pasta, shrimp paella, or curried quinoa with ham and broccoli.

Sicilian-style cauliflower, combined with a little penne pasta and a sprinkling of Parmesan, becomes a hearty meal. In place of the traditional paella approach, stir-frying reduces the amount of fat and rice, and shortens the cooking time. If you’re in the mood for a meal with a healthy grain, try quinoa with curry powder, smoky ham and broccoli. All three of these recipes are deliciously nutritious, packed with rich flavors and can be prepared in a jiffy.
