Lose, gain weight loss cycle
Five pregnancies in nine years had taken a toll on my body. My children are my world, but I fell into a pattern: I’d get pregnant, pile on the pounds, join WW, lose it, then get pregnant again.
Putting my family first
Like most mums, I’d put the needs of my family first. My diet and exercise routine went on the back burner, and I’d soon stop following the plan. At night, exhausted from my busy day, I’d reach for the biscuit tin. But by the time my youngest was six months old, I knew I had to make a permanent change. With no plans to have more children, I realised I wanted to be able to enjoy our family time, rather than worrying about how I looked.
Embracing a healthy lifestyle
I knew I could rely on WW. I just needed to embrace a healthy lifestyle. Following the plan didn’t have to separate me from my family. Using WW cookbooks, I planned easy, healthy meals we could all enjoy together. I started walking, too, fitting it in on weekends or after the kids had gone to bed.
Getting to goal
Now that I’m at goal, I have so much more energy. Keeping up with the kids isn’t a problem anymore – and we love going for walks together in local parks. I’ve learned that living a healthier lifestyle is easier with everyone involved – and if I can do it with five kids in tow, anyone can!
