Keisha: I feel so much more confident now

After seeing an embarrassing photo of herself, Keisha was determined to make a change. Now, not only has she lost more than 4st, she’s also gained a whole lot of body confidence!

The revealing photo

In 2016, my partner, Nadine, and I attended Pride in London. I was flattered when a photographer asked to take our picture at the event, but later, when I saw the photo online, I was mortified – my thighs looked like tree trunks!

Joining WW

The photo was my cue to change. I’d been yo-yo dieting since my son, Micah, was born 11 years ago, but nothing had stuck. So, encouraged by Nadine’s mum, who was also a WW Member, I joined WW weighing more than 17st. The programme was easy to follow, and I loved that I could get healthy while still enjoying treats. I started cooking healthier meals using WW recipes, and tucked into WW Crumbly Oaty Choc Chip Mini Cookies if I fancied something sweet. I even managed to lose 8lb in my first week!

Healthier and more confident

Soon after joining, I started doing cardio workouts and Zumba classes at the gym, which helped tone my legs. They used to be my least favourite body part, but now that I’m healthier, I feel much more confident showing them off and have even received complements on them! I recently started a new job where my uniform includes skinny jeans. Before losing weight, I would have worried that customers would notice my heavy thighs, but now I just hope they see how fit I am as I run around helping them.
