Take control of lunchtime
With so little time, lunch is often a case of grab and go. So get the most out of your midday meal with these quick tips

Do you remember the last time you enjoyed a leisurely lunch break? According to research, almost a quarter of us say we never have time for lunch but graze through the day, instead. However, with a bit of planning, eating a healthy midday meal is possible, no matter how busy you are.
Plan ahead
Take the stress out of lunchtime by making up a healthy lunch the night before, when you have time to calculate and track the Points®. In fact, keep a list of your favourite five go-to lunch ideas, along with their Points, taped to the fridge – so you won’t have to worry about thinking up a healthy meal when you’d rather be getting ready for bed.
Make it pick and mix
If you’re more of an afternoon snacker, consider packing your lunchbox with healthy pick and mix options that are easy to eat at your desk. Choose a dairy product such as low-fat yogurt or a cheese slice; a protein like wafer-thin ham, tinned tuna or cooked chicken breast; fresh fruit and veg such as salad, a banana or grapes; a starch like wholewheat pasta or a tortilla wrap; and a snack such as nuts or air-popped popcorn. Violà! A healthy, balanced lunch that’s perfect for snacking, with almost zero effort.
Swap and save
When you just can’t avoid the grab-and-go option, avoid snap supermarket decisions by doing a quick search in the WW app. You might be surprised at how many Points are lurking in your favourite sandwiches and snacks, but you’ll be able to find smarter swaps that won’t send you off track. Plus, you’ll be able to track while you’re out, so you’ll know just how many Points you have left for your later.
