Create a healthier social circle

Whether it’s your partner, boss, favourite author, or that random blogger you’re following on Insta, who’s influencing you can play a major role in helping (or inadvertently hurting) you on your path to all the healthy things.

Try This!

1. List the closest people in your orbit. Think about who you… Talk to (friends, family members, coworkers) Listen to (podcast hosts, news anchors, musicians) Or read and see (social media accounts, authors) 2. Who do you interact with the most from that group? Describe their… Tone What they say How you feel engaging with them 3. Who from that smaller list helps you on your journey? Is there anyone you’d like to connect with more? It’s all about focusing on what you can control since you can’t really change what someone else is saying. 4. Recalibrate. If someone on that list isn’t helping you move forward, try putting them in the “back seat” and finding someone new who instead, well, sparks joy. 5. Try making a plan for change this week. What’s one thing you can tweak? When and where will you try this? How will you remind yourself to do it?

Let’s dive a little deeper...

The people we surround ourselves with - directly or indirectly - matter in a whole lot of ways, but especially on a weight-loss and wellness journey.

Noticing how they impact us can help us realise how much our support system really matters when it comes to conquering goals. Think of it this way: helpful people are like fuel. And fuel makes it easier to do something and keep doing it. Translation: this is a good thing.
