When you’re feeling hungry and your next meal is still a while away, a small handful of roasted nuts makes a tasty and satisfying snack with a good dose of protein and healthy fats to boot! Here, we’ve added warm allspice and cayenne to chilli powder to give these nuts extra flavour and zing.


Chilli powder

½ tsp

Ground allspice

¼ tsp

Ground cayenne pepper

1 pinch

Mixed nuts

1 cup(s), natural, (150g)

Oil spray

2 x 3 second spray(s)


  1. Preheat oven to 150°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Combine spices and ¼ teaspoon salt in a small bowl. Place nuts in a medium bowl and lightly spray with oil. Sprinkle with spice mix and toss well to coat. Spread nuts evenly over prepared tray and lightly spray again with oil.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until nuts are browned and smell toasted. Cool completely, then transfer to a reusable container.


TO STORE: Keep roasted nuts in a reusable container for up to 1 week.
