Popcorn, kernels, unpopped
60 g, Plus one of the spice mixes below:Chilli Salt
Garlic, dried, powder or flakes
Dried chilli flakes
1 tsp, Lemon pepper
Lemon pepper seasoning
Fresh lemon rind
1 tsp, grated
2 tsp, (or marjoram)
1 tsp, Moroccan spice
1 tsp, finely grated
- Place ingredients for 1 of the spice mixes in a mortar and pestle. Pound until combined. Transfer to a large bowl.
- Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. To test if oil is hot enough, add 2 pieces of popping corn (they should turn slowly in a circle when it is ready). Add remaining corn. Cover tightly with a lid and start shaking pan when corn starts popping. Remove from heat after 3 minutes or when corn stops popping.
- Add popcorn to spice mixture, discarding any unpopped kernels. Toss to combine. Serve.
