On the table quicker than a takeaway, this healthy spin on the classic pizza is so satisfying and flavoursome it’ll fast become your new go-to

Ingredients

Wholemeal pita bread

1 regular

Tapenade (olive paste)

1 tbs

Tomato pasta sauce

2 tbs

Reduced-fat 15% cheddar cheese

2 tbs, grated

97% fat-free deli sliced ham

25 g

Swiss brown mushrooms

2 small, thinly sliced

Cherry tomato

2 individual, thinly sliced

Fresh basil

1 tbs, (small)

Rocket

40 g

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C or 180°C fan-forced. Place wholemeal pita pocket on a baking tray. Spread pita with black olive tapenade and tomato pasta sauce. Sprinkle with tasty cheese and top with sliced ham, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until base is crisp. Sprinkle with basil leaves. Serve.

Notes

You can use pesto instead of tapenade.
