Combine the best flavours of Mexico in these modern turkey burgers. Adding taco seasoning and black beans to the patties add loads of flavour. Top each pattie with freshly smashed avo, diced tomato and corn chips for a super fun burger.

Ingredients

Turkey breast mince

500 g

Brown onion

1 medium, grated

Egg(s)

1 medium

Dried breadcrumbs

¼ cup(s), (35g)

Reduced-salt taco seasoning mix

1 tbs

Cooked black beans

80 g, (1/2 cup)

Avocado

1 medium

Lemon juice

1 tbs

Sweet chilli sauce

1 tbs

Multigrain bread roll

100 g, (Buy 2x50g) halved

Rocket

80 g

Corn chips

80 g

Tomato(es)

1 medium, finely chopped

Fresh coriander

cup(s)

Oil spray

1 x 3 second spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Combine turkey, onion, egg, breadcrumbs and taco seasoning mix in a large bowl. Season. Stir in beans. Divide and shape mixture into four 9cm patties. Chill for 10 minutes. Lightly spray a chargrill or barbecue with oil and heat on medium-high. Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes each side or until cooked through.
  2. Meanwhile, mash avocado, lemon juice and sweet chilli sauce until smooth. Season.
  3. Chargrill bread rolls, cut-side down, for 1-2 minutes or until lightly toasted. Top roll halves with rocket, burger, avocado, corn chips, tomato and coriander.
