Honey pears with gingernut ice-cream
low fat, no added sugar ice cream
reduced fat oil spread
2 large, corella variety, cored, cut into thin wedges
- Place the ice-cream in a medium bowl. Fold in the biscuits. Place in the freezer for 30 minutes to chill.
- Melt the spread in a small frying pan over medium heat. Add the honey, orange juice and cinnamon and bring to the boil. Add the pear and cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 6-8 minutes or until the pear is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
