Add flavour to your beef patties with the simple addition of harissa paste - a North African chilli paste.


Ingredients
Red onion
½ medium, finely chopped
Extra lean beef mince, raw
500 g
Harissa paste
3 tsp
Fresh lemon rind
1 tbs, finely grated
Egg(s)
1 medium, lightly beaten
Pita bread
4 individual, (4x67g)
Lebanese cucumber
1 small, cut into ribbons
99% fat-free, plain or natural yoghurt, unsweetened
¼ cup(s), (60g)
Oil spray
1 x 3 second spray(s)
Instructions

Combine onion, mince, harissa, lemon rind and egg in a medium bowl. Shape mixture into four 2cm-thick patties.

Lightly spray a large non-stick frying pan or chargrill with oil and heat over medium heat. Cook patties for 10 minutes, turning occasionally,or until cooked through. Top each pita bread with a burger and cucumber. Dollop each with yoghurt and fold to serve.
