This fast-food dupe is super easy to make and boasts fresher veggie toppings and super-moist, just-off-the grill chicken.

Ingredients

Skinless chicken breast

4 small

Italian dressing

1 tsp

Olive oil

2 tsp

Dijon mustard

2 tbs

Low-fat mayonnaise

1 tbs

Honey

3 tsp

Smoked paprika

½ tsp

Hamburger roll

4 individual

Butter lettuce

8 leaf

Tomato(es)

4 thick slice(s)

Instructions

  1. Arrange chicken in a single layer on a shallow-sided baking tray or roasting pan. Pierce chicken all over with a fork. Drizzle Italian dressing over chicken and toss to coat. Set aside, covered for 15 minutes, turning chicken occasionally.
  2. Heat oil in a large, nonstick griddle pan over high heat. Remove chicken from marinade - allowing any excess juices to fall off - and cook for 4-5 minutes each side, until chicken is well marked with griddle lines and cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk mustard, mayonnaise, honey, and smoked paprika until well combined. Season with salt and pepper. Spread sauce evenly over both sides of the buns. On the bottom half of each bun, arrange 1 chicken breast, 2 lettuce leaves, 1 tomato slice, and top half of the bun. Serve warm.

Notes

You can use either a griddle pan or regular pan, or even a BBQ.
