Fresh seasonal fruit is always a great choice for dessert but when you toss it with a little sweet, citrusy syrup, it’s simply sensational! You can swap in fresh mint for the basil or leave it out if you prefer.

Ingredients

Honey

2 tbs

Orange rind

1 tsp, finely grated

Freshly squeezed orange juice

2 tbs

Lemon juice

1 tbs, fresh

Peach(es)

2 medium, sliced

Honeydew

350 g, (1/2 medium melon, peeled, deseeded), cut into 2cm cubes

Fresh strawberries

250 g, quartered

Fresh blueberries

125 g

Fresh basil

2 tbs, leaves, finely shredded

Instructions

  1. Whisk honey, orange rind and juices in a large bowl until combined.
  2. Add fruit and toss to combine. Stir in basil to serve.

Notes

TO REFRIGERATE: Store fruit salad, without basil, in a reusable container for up to 3 days. Stir in basil just before serving.
