Christmas cake trifle
Add a contemporary twist to your traditional Christmas dessert with a serve of contrasting textures and intense flavours.
Diet jelly, prepared
1 serve(s), raspberry flavour (1 x 9g sachet)
Un-iced fruit cake
200 g, (dark)
Reduced-fat vanilla custard
1½ cup(s), (375ml)
Fromage frais, vanilla bean
2 tub(s), (300g)
1 cup(s), to serve
- Prepare the jelly following packet instructions. Pour into a shallow container and place in fridge for 3 hours, or until set.
- Break cake into large coarse crumbs. Divide among eight ¾-cup (185ml) capacity serving glasses. Drizzle brandy over cake. Top with spoonfuls of jelly followed by custard, a dollop of Frûche and berries.
TIP: For an alcohol-free version, replace the brandy with fresh orange juice.
