Cherry ham jam
Cherries are summer’s superstars, so prepare this easy jam ahead of time so when the ham is ready, you have cherry-packed goodness to add.
Cherries, pitted, frozen
Freshly squeezed orange juice
1 cup(s), (250ml)
Granulated stevia sweetener
Fresh red chilli
- Place the cherries, orange juice, sweetener, star anise, cinnamon stick and whole chilli in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 25-30 minutes or until jam thickens.
- Remove the star anise, cinnamon and chilli. Use the back of a spoon to crush any whole cherries. Season with salt and pepper.
SERVE WITH ham, turkey and duck.
