This fiery festive drink is a bright burst of colour and a big punch of flavour!
Ingredients

caster sugar

2 tbs

fresh ginger

2 tbs, 4cm pieces, sliced

lemon juice

2 tbs

Juice, vegetable and fruit blend with carrot, apple and orange

500 ml, 2 cups

tabasco sauce

¼ tsp, Few drops

celery

6 individual

natural mineral water

2 cup(s), 500ml

orange

1 medium, sliced to serve

Instructions

  1. Place the sugar, ginger and 2/3 cup (160ml) of water in a small saucepan. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Simmer until the syrup is reduced by half. Set aside to cool slightly. Strain the syrup and discard the ginger.
  2. Pour the ginger syrup, lemon juice and carrot, orange and apple juice into a jug and add Tabasco to taste. Stir to combine.
  3. Divide the ice among six serving glasses. Pour the juice mixture over the ice and top with mineral water. Decorate with celery and orange slices.
Notes
SERVING SUGGESTION: 30ml white rum per serve.
