Caramel banana scones

Banana and caramel are the perfect marriage of flavours in these light and fluffy delights!

Ingredients

White self-raising flour

2 cup(s), (300g)

Caster sugar

1 tbs, (75g)

Low fat crème caramel

1 tub(s)

Banana(s)

1 small, ripe, mashed

Reduced fat oil spread

2 tbs, melted

Skim milk

3 tbs, (1tbs for brushing)

Preheat oven to 220°C or 200°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Sift flour into a large bowl and stir in sugar. Place Nestlé® Soleil Crème Caramel, banana, canola spread and milk in a medium bowl, combining until smooth. Add banana mixture to flour mixture, gently folding until just combined. Do not over-mix.

Place dough onto a lightly floured bench and gently press out until 3cm thick. Using a lightly floured 5cm-round cookie cutter, cut dough into rounds. Form offcuts into another round and cut out more scones. Place scones just touching each other on prepared tray. Brush with extra milk. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden and cooked.
