If you have these five ingredients then you have this tasty banana split. Who can resist this classic combination if banana, chocolate and nuts on a summer evening?

Ingredients

Chocolate hazelnut spread

¼ cup(s), (60g)

Reduced-fat milk

1½ tbs

Banana(s)

4 medium, cut in half lengthways

Low fat, no added sugar ice cream

4 scoop(s), small, (4 small scoops)

Hazelnuts

10 g, (1 tbs)

Instructions

  1. Stir the choc-hazelnut spread and milk in a small saucepan over low heat for 30 seconds or until smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. Top the bananas with vanilla ice-cream. Pour over sauce and sprinkle with toasted hazelnuts to serve.

Notes

TIP: To toast hazelnuts, preheat oven to 200°C or 180°C fan-forced. Spread hazelnuts on a baking tray and bake for 3–4 minutes or until toasted.
