This 5-ingredient, protein-loaded breakfast is part creamy, part crunchy, and has just a touch of heat. Swap the hummus for mashed avocado, if you prefer.

Store-bought hummus

Toasted wheat bread

Black pepper

Chives

Sriracha chili sauce

Instructions

  1. Lightly coat a small nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat over medium. Add the egg and cook 3 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Cover the skillet and cook another 1 minute, until the whites are set.
  2. Spread the hummus onto the toast; top with the egg and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with the herbs, if using, and the sriracha.
