Smoked Gouda and Prosciutto Bites

Here's a simple, 3-ingredient, no-cook appetizer that will easily impress. It's equally great for dinner parties or fancy after-school snacks. Swap in different flavoured cheese sticks, greens and meats to suit your tastes. Baby spinach, turkey and part-skim mozzarella is one great flavour combination. Baby romaine, jalapeno cheese sticks and ham is also tasty. If you have the time, tie each bundle with a chive instead of using toothpicks.

- Cut cheese into 16 strips and cut pieces of prosciutto lengthwise in half. Then cut each piece in half again so you have 16 pieces each cheese and prosciutto.
- Take a few arugula leaves and place them under a piece of string cheese; wrap a piece of prosciutto around the outside and secure with a toothpick. Place on a platter; repeat with remaining ingredients.
