Sesame Baked Prawns with Tahini Yogurt Dipping Sauce
1 hr 20 min
Tahini is a classic in falafel sandwiches and other Middle Eastern dishes, but this rich, tangy sauce can do so much more. Here, it is combined with yogurt and fresh citrus flavours to make a sauce for crispy, baked prawns. This versatile sauce can also be used for grilled meats and vegetables, breads, or drizzled over bowls and salads.
1 clove(s), large, crushed
Fresh lemon juice
1 pound(s), peeled, tails intact
Plain fat free yogurt
1 tbsp(s), chopped
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Combine honey, garlic, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1½ tablespoons tahini in a shallow dish. Add prawns and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Drain prawns of excess marinade and place on prepared tray. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, combine yogurt, parsley and remaining lemon juice and tahini in a small bowl. Season with salt. Serve prawns with tahini yoghurt dipping sauce.
