Whole-grain toast with peanut butter, apple, and almonds makes a hearty, satisfying breakfast. Thinly sliced apple is a fresh, nutritionally-superior swap for jelly.

Powdered peanut butter
2½ tbsp(s)
Reduced-calorie whole wheat bread
2 slice(s), toasted
Apple
½ large, cored and thinly sliced
Ground cinnamon
⅛ tsp(s)
Sliced almonds
2½ tbsp(s), toasted if desired

In a small bowl, stir together the powdered peanut butter and 1 2/3 tbsp of water until smooth. Spread the peanut butter evenly over the toast. Divide the apple slices over the toast and sprinkle with the cinnamon and almonds.
