Baked caprese sandwich
Like an all-in-one grilled cheese sandwich and Caprese salad, this warm oven-toasted sandwich is gooey and delicious.
WW White Bread (SmartPoints Packaging)
1 tbsp(s), store-bought, basil pesto variety
Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
¼ cup(s), divided
1 small, thinly sliced
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Spread pesto over 1 slice of bread. Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese. Top with arugula, tomato slices and remaining cheese. Cap with remaining slice of bread.
- Transfer to small baking sheet. Cook, turning once, for 3 to 5 minutes or until bread is lightly toasted and cheese melts.
- Serving size: 1 sandwich
