This fun and delicious dessert is best served slightly warmed and with a hot beverage alongside. It also couldn't be easier to make. Simply arrange the filling, comprised of Granny Smith apples, pears, raisins, and lemon zest and juice, in a casserole dish. It's spiced with brown sugar and allspice, then topped with a mixture of old-fashioned oats, ground almonds, all-purpose flour, and reduced-calorie margarine. All that's left to do is let it bake in the oven until the fruit is tender, which takes just half an hour, and your gorgeous-looking dessert is ready to go. You'll find yourself making it over and over again.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Coat a 6-cup casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. Arrange apples, pears, raisins, lemon juice and zest in bottom of prepared casserole dish.
  3. Combine sugar and allspice in a small bowl; sprinkle over fruit. Combine oats, almonds and flour in same small bowl; rub in margarine using fingertips and then sprinkle the topping over the fruit mixture. Bake until the fruit is tender, about 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into 6 pieces and serve warm.
