Seared tuna with soba noodles

Dinner doesn’t have to take hours, instead just 15 minutes! In such a short time you can whip up a classic Japanese dish of seared tuna and noodles. The pickled ginger gives the whole dish that famous tart, spicy flavour tying all the components together.


Ingredients
Soba noodles, dry
160 g
Raw tuna
500 g, (4x 125g)
Dried nori seeweed
1 sheet(s)
Pickled ginger
40 g
Edamame beans
200 g
Reduced salt soy sauce
1 tbs
Sesame oil
2 tsp
Instructions

Cook noodles in a medium saucepan of boiling water following packet instructions or until just tender. Drain, refresh under cold water and drain again.

Meanwhile, heat a chargrill on medium-high. Cook tuna steaks for 1 minute each side or until just seared. Thinly slice.

To assemble, place tuna over noodles on a serving platter along with nori sheet, ginger and steamed edamame beans.

Combine soy sauce (or tamari) and sesame oil in a small bowl and drizzle over tuna.
