Old-fashioned oats get cooked with mashed banana for natural sweetness, and creamy cottage cheese is stirred into the porridge at the end for supreme creaminess and a protein boost.

Ingredients

Banana(s)

½ small, mashed

Rolled oats, dry

½ cup(s), (45g)

Ground cinnamon

¼ tsp

97% fat-free cottage cheese

¼ cup(s), (60g)

Fresh strawberries

¼ cup(s), (35g)

Pistachios

3 tsp, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine banana and 1 cup (150ml) water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir in oats, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally for 4-5 minutes, until oats are creamy. Turn off the heat and stir in cottage cheese. To serve, transfer oats to a bowl. Top with strawberries and pistachios.
