Oats are a great source of fibre. Spending a few minutes making a bowl of porridge in the morning is a great way to start the day.
1½ cup(s), (375ml)
Dry rolled oats
60 g, (¾ cup)
Halved dried peaches
2 piece(s), finely chopped (45g)
250 g, washed, hulled, quartered
- Combine 1 cup (250ml) of the milk, ½ cup (125ml) water, oats, peaches and raisins in a small saucepan. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring, for 4–5 minutes or until thick and creamy.
- Mixed trough the diced peaches. Spoon porridge into serving dishes and sprinkle with sugar. Serve with remaining milk and strawberries.
