Mediterranean tuna salad with lemon and oregano

Canned tuna is a great staple to keep in your pantry for delicious and satisfying salads like this one. This no-cook dish is brought to life with Mediterranean flavours and a creamy Greek yoghurt dressing.


99% fat-free plain Greek yoghurt

¼ cup(s), (60g)

Fresh oregano

2 tsp, finely chopped

Fresh flat-leaf parsley

2 tsp


½ clove(s), crushed

Lemon juice

1 tsp

Fresh lemon rind

1 tsp, finely grated

Tuna, canned in springwater, drained

1 185g can

Red capsicum

½ medium, cut into 1cm pieces


½ individual, thinly sliced

Green shallot(s)

1 individual, thinly sliced

Butter lettuce

1 cup(s), shredded, to serve


  1. Stir yoghurt, oregano, parsley, garlic, lemon juice and rind in a small bowl to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Combine tuna, capsicum, celery and shallot in a medium bowl. Add yoghurt mixture and gently fold to combine.
  3. Serve salad spooned into lettuce cups.


Instead of serving in lettuce cups, you could also roughly chop the lettuce and toss through the tuna salad.
