This tasty Lebanese-style vegetarian wrap is perfect for lunch on-the-go.

Ingredients

Lebanese bread

2 individual, (85g each)

Reduced-fat hummus

2 tbs

Falafel

120 g, (3 individual), thinly sliced

Chilli sauce

1 tbs, (hot)

Reduced-fat 15% cheddar cheese

15 g, grated

Tomato(es)

6 small, (baby roma)

Cos lettuce

1½ cup(s), (65g) shredded

Red onion

¼ small, sliced

Instructions

  1. Place bread on a flat surface. Spread each round with hommus.
  2. Warm the falafel in the microwave on High (100%) for 30 seconds. Arrange falafel down the centre of each round. Drizzle with chilli sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Top with tomato, lettuce and onion. Roll tightly to enclose filling. Cut in half to serve.

Notes

Falafels are tasty ball-shaped patties made with ground chickpeas and herbs and spices. They are available from the fresh chilled cabinets of supermarkets.
